At age 17, Mr. Chefan had become an exclusive pianist in the JL Hudsons stores.  Mr. Chefan Holds an MA and BA in Music from Wayne State University, studying classical and jazz piano, making him a highly versatile and sought after pianist in metro Detroit.  He began teaching in 1996 with the goal of inspiring people to learn and appreciate all types of music.  Many of Mr. Chefan's students have gone on to be successful in their respective careers from medical to music. In 2021, Mr. Chefan was awarded the Graduate Professional Scholarship at Wayne State University to fund research on the benefits of yoga practice in conjunction with piano practice as well as organ studies. Mr. Chefan is currently the Director of Music and Worship at Nardin Park UMC in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
